The sound intensity level 30 meters away from a jet taking off is 140 dB. What will the sound intensity level be at a distance of 336 meters?

Intensity (`I`) of sound is inversely proportional to the square of distance(`r`)

i.e `I prop 1/r^2`

So,we can write,

`(I_1)/(I_2) = (r_2/r_1)^2`

given, `I_2 =140,r_2=30,r_1=336`

so,we get, `I_1=1.1116 Db`
