A plasma membrane is basically a cell membrane.
Explanation:
It consists of a phospholipid bilayer that controls the entry and exit of substances , that is involved in cell signalling , that is involved in maintaining cell's shape as well as several other functions (like cell adhesion and cell recognition via antigens present in this membane).
Remember, it is a partially permeable membrane (due to hydrophilic heads and hydrophobic tails of phospholipids.
