Stoichiometry Volume - Mass Problem?

What is the mass of O2 produced by a plant photosynthesizing 3L of CO2 at a temperature of 25 degrees C at 1 atm.

6CO2 + 6H2O --> C6H12O6 + 6O2

Surely the volume is also #3*L#?

Explanation:

We got the stoichiometric equation:

#6CO_2(g) + 6H_2O(g) stackrel("magic")rarrC_6H_12O_6(aq) + 6O_2(g)#

And the stoichiometry proposes that each mole of carbon dioxide that reacts give rise to ONE mole dioxygen gas... And here since #3*L# carbon dioxide are fixed...#3*L# of dioxygen are released...

And so we solve for ....

#n=(PV)/(RT)=(1*atm*3L)/(0.0821*(L*atm)/(K*mol)xx298*K)-=0.123*mol#

...a mass of #0.123*molxx32.0*g*mol^-1=3.92*g#..
