The pH of a sample of baking soda dissolved in water is 5.74 at 25 degrees celsius. Calculate the pOH, [H^+] and [OH^-] for this sample?

I know how to calculate the pOH but need help with the rest of the problem.

Well #pH+pOH=14#; and this is something you should remember for an aqueous solution under standard conditions.

Explanation:

And so #pOH=14-5.74=8.26#.

And #[HO^-]=10^(-pOH)=10^(-8.26)=5.00xx10^-9*mol*L^-1#

And #[H_3O^+]=10^(-pH)=10^(-5.74)=1.82xx10^-7*mol*L^-1#
