According to Kinetic theory of gases RMS speed v_"rms"vrms is found from the expression

v_"rms"=sqrt((3k_BT)/m)vrms=3kBTm
where k_BkB is Boltzmann constant =1.380 × 10^-23 \ J K^-1,
T is temperature in K and m is mass of particle.

We know that bb(NTP) is Normal Temperature and Pressure and is defined as air at 20^@C\ (293.15\ K) and 1\ sf(atm) pressure. Inserting given values in above expression we get

v_"rms"=sqrt((3xx1.380 × 10^-23xx293.15)/(50xx10^-15))
=>v_"rms"=1.55xx10^-3\ ms^-1
