These organizations aim at promoting Free Trade and Globalization. Anti Globaliation acitvists or opponents of capitalism denounce thses organizations as being tools of Multinational corporations to control international trade.

Proponents of those organizations claim that they help reduce poverty in third world countries. Some Liberal economists claim that they introduce rules that favor corporations and thus do not really defend Free Trade.
