Two masses of 10 kg and 5 kg are suspended from a fixed support. The system is pulled with a force of 150 N to the lower mass. The string breaks off. What is the tension in the string between the masses if the force stops acting at that moment?

When the string attached to the fixed support breaks, the tension between the masses will become zero.
Explanation:
The only forces acting on the 2 masses will be the force of gravity. The 2 masses will therefore be in free-fall and the string between them will be slack.
I hope this helps,
