The distance covered by the first ship in 1.7hr for traveling at the speed #20km"/"hr# is #d_1=20*1.7=34km#

The distance covered by the 2nd ship in 1.7hr for traveling at the speed #28km"/"hr# is #d_1=28*1.7=47.6km#

Applying cosine law of triangle the distance between two ship will be

#d=sqrt(d_1^2+d_2^2-2*d _1d_2*cos130^@)#

#=sqrt(34^2+47.6^2-2*34*47.6*cos130^@)#
#~~74.2km#
