For a single die, the faces have an equal probability of #1/4#.

For two dice, the probability of each event is #=1/4xx1/4=1/16#

There are #4xx4=16# total possible events.


The tabulation below shows all 16 events and the sums for each event. The possible sums range from 2 through 8 .

For example, the probability that the sum equals 4 is 0.1875 because there are 3 ways to roll a sum of 4. #3 xx 1/16=3/16=0.1875#
