Economy

Explanation:

The rise of industry was good for America because it helped us grow into a massive economical force that made other countries want to do business with us. Our market grew exponentially and we traded and sold the goods to other countries. It also made a lot of people employed and they got paid for their labor. It was also harmful because the need for people and the type of machinery used required short stature and small hands, which usually meant children. Child labor was dominating youth culture. Which a few years afterward led to Child labor laws being passed. But it helped grow our economy and it helped us into transforming into a world superpower.
