Natural selection is the process in which organisms with characteristics most advantageous / suitable to their environments are more likely to survive and reproduce, therefore passing on their advantageous genes to the next generation.
Examples include any adaptations, including camouflage (such as with the moths in England during the Industrial Revolution: peppered moths were more likely to survive and not be eaten by predators than white moths, due to the soot and pollution caused by industrialization).
Artificial selection (or selective breeding) is the process in which humans use plant or animal breeding to select for certain traits (breeding organisms with those traits to select for them).
Examples include fancy pigeons and the evolution of modern maize from the much smaller teosinte.
