One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Explanation:

Sometime during the First or Second Century, ancient writers began to compile lists of "Wonders," or man-made structures which induced awe and wonder in the observers. The list as we know it did not reach stable form until the Renaissance.

The Seven Wonders were:

  • The Great Pyramid of Giza
  • The Lighthouse of Alexandria, Egypt
  • The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
  • The Colossus of Rhodes
  • The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
  • The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
  • The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

Of them all, the Great Pyramid is the only one still existing today.

No one really knows where the gardens were located or what happened to them. (There is one theory, not accepted by all scholars, that the hanging gardens weren't in Babylon at all, but rather in Nineveh, the capital of Assyria.)
