Atom is made up of 4 parts, nucleus, protons, electrons and neutrons.

  • Protons are positively charged particles and they determine what element the atom is

  • Neutrons mainly stabilize the atom and have the same atomic mass as protons, also located near the proton

  • Electrons, that is in the most outer part of an atom allow the atoms to bond to each other and take part in chemical reactions

  • The Nuclues is the central core of an atom that has all the mass of the atom in it( protons, electrons)
