During the initial infection, people with Hepatitis C show mild or no symptoms.

For the acute infection: decreased appetite, fatigue, nausea, muscle or joint pains, and weight loss, liver failure is rare.

Chronic infection: fatigue, mild cognitive problems, cirrhosis, liver cancer, fatty changes to the liver, hepatocellular carcinoma,
portal hypertension, ascites (accumulation of fluid in the abdomen), easy bruising or bleeding, varices (enlarged veins, especially in the stomach and esophagus), or jaundice
