The pelvic cavity

Explanation:

The body is divided into different 'compartments' in which different cavities are located (see image).

The ventral body cavity is the name for all the cavities at the front of you body containing almost all your organs. A subdivision of this cavity is called the abdominopelvic cavity in which abdomino refers to the intestines and related organs.

The pelvic cavity lies within the abdominopelvic cavity. This is where the rectum is located, as well as the urinary bladder and reproductive organs.
