A child in womb is like a parasite. If there is not enough calcium in mom's diet, the fetus will be soon drawing calcium from mother's bones.

Explanation:

Minimum intake of calcium by a pregnant mother should be about 1000 to 1250 milli grams per day. This would keep bones of mother in healthy condition and the child will also develop strong bones.

Calcium defficiency during pregnancy may weaken bones, and there could be muscle pain and muscle cramps.
