Renal failure or renal insufficiency is a medical condition, of impaired kidney function in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter metabolic wastes from the blood.

1) interrupted blood supply to kidneys
2) toxin overload in the kidneys
3) accidents,injuries or complications due to surgeries which may affect the kidneys.
4) accidental or chemical drug overloads
5) diabetes mellitus
6)long term uncontrolled hypertension
7) polycystic kidney disease
8) diseases caused by infectious agents like Hantavirus.
