Some animal behavior is instinctual, while other behavior is learned.
Explanation:
Animals are born with instincts, which are the knowledge/ability to do things. For example, sharks are born knowing how to swim.
Other behavior has to be learned and is often taught by the parents, such as raccoons finding food in trash cans.
