Explanation:

This is rather subjective, but here are a couple examples of traits that I think Eric is displaying:

1) Ingenuity
#rarr# "the quality of being clever, original, and inventive"

Eric uses extreme cleverness when he uses his car antenna as a spear and starts a fire with his car battery. So I think that he is showing the character trait of ingenuity.

2) Composure
#rarr# "the state or feeling of being calm and in control of oneself"

Eric doesn't panic when he gets stuck in the woods without a way to call others. He calmly decides to make himself some food and wait for help. He is displaying the character trait of composure.

3) Patience
#rarr# "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset"

This one goes somewhat along with the composure trait - as he is being calm and composed in his waiting. Eric decides to wait patiently for help instead of going to find help. So he is displaying patience.
