For 1500 years before Copernicus most people thought that the Earth is the center of the universe..He brought the Sun to the center of solar system and made earth as an ordinary planet/

Copernicus moved the Su n to center but he made one mistake.He thought that the orbit of planets were circles..Later Kepler found the orbits are elliptical.
