What do humans use bacteria for?

Bacteria are ours Friend and Foes. They are useful in lot many ways for examples

  1. Single cell protein - many bacteria have rich amount of protein and so they are taken as food like Spirulina
  2. Fertilizers - Bacteria fix the atmospheric nitrogen in the soil which increases it's fertility , eg - Rhizobium
    3.Antibiotics - Bacteria are sources of antibiotics , eg - benzyl penicillin
  3. Sewage Treatment - Bacterial flocs are used to treat the polluted water
  4. Normal Flora- Normal flora are bacteria that colonizes some of your body parts to keep the bad bacteria out.
