Vaccines stimulate production of antibodies. Vaccines are administered for immunisation .

Explanation:

Ingredients of a vaccine are derived from a particular disease causing organism or they resemble molecules of a disease causing pathogen.

When introduced, the body treats them as foreign antigens. Immune system cells of the body get an exposure to the pathogenic molecule and some cells start producing specific antibodies. An antibody producing cell is called a plasma cell .

Some cells of immune system remain in our body as memory cells. Pathogens against which body is immunized may invade naturally. In such cases, the memory cells proliferate and produce more antibody producing cells, and the pathogen is removed before it is able to establish itself in any system. Thus, after vaccination, the chances of getting the disease by same pathogen becomes very remote.

Antibodies are a type of protein which provide us protection from diseases.
