The pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.

Explanation:

While most veins are responsible for transporting de-oxygenated blood to the heart, pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.

When de-oxygenated blood enters the heart at the right atrium (auricle), it is pumped into the right ventricle from where, through the pulmonary valve, the blood is sent to the lungs where, at the alveolar-capillary interface, the blood gives up carbon dioxide and is oxygenated.

Then, through four pulmonary veins, two from each lung receiving blood from bronchial veins, the oxygenated blood is transported to the heart at the left atrium (auricle), from where it is pumped into the left ventricle and, through the aortic valve, into the aorta for transportation to the rest of the body.
