one feature that form when rocks bend are geosynclines.

Explanation:

When the sedimentary layers of rocks are soft and under pressure they can be bent into curved structures called geosynclines.

One theory is that heat partially melts the sedimentary layers of rocks allowing them to be bent into the curved shapes.

A less accepted theory is that the bending happened early i.e. n the formation of the sedimentary layers while the sedimentary layers were still soft and hadn't hardened completely into rocks.

Geosynclines were thought to be the source of mountain formation as light rocks filled the low spots in the geosynclines. The low density of the sedimentary rocks was thought to cause the upthrust of the sedimentary layers. Plate tectonics is the preferred theory today for the explanation of mountain formation.
