The egg and sperm meet and form an embryo

Explanation:

The Pituitary gland in the brain secretes FSH to mature eggs in the ovaries. Then the ovaries release oestrogen to inhibit the production of FSH and causes thickening of the lining of the uterus for the fertilised egg to embed itself.
. Also, the ovaries release progesterone which also thicken the lining of the uterus. Then, the ovaries stimulate the pituitary gland to produce LH which causes ovulation.

When the penis enters the vagina, sperm is ejaculated. The egg releases chemicals so that the sperm can find the egg. When the sperm meets the egg in the uterus, the sperm's acrosome releases digestive enzymes to break down the lining of the egg cell. The sperm's nucleus and the egg's nucleus fuse to form new life.
The fertilised egg embeds itself into the lining of the uterus and undergoes cell division and forms a ball of cells called an embryo. The blood vessels in the lining of the uterus provide food so that the embryo can develop.
