Inside human stomach, mainly protein digestion takes place.

Explanation:

Stomach is a hollow organ, part of alimentary canal. Intenal lining of stomach secretes highly acidic digestive juice and mucus.

Mucus covers the stomach lining to protect it from action of hydrochloric acid present in gastric juice.

Gastric juice contains proteolytic enzymes which break down large protein molecules into smaller peptones.

Muscles of stomach wall also helps in churning of food entering the organ.

Half digested food, mixed with gastric juice, together form semi liquid chyme inside stomach. Peristalsis sends the chyme gradually in small intestine.
