What is/are the direct object(s) in the following sentence?: The repairman did a great job repairing my TV.
Nice question and technical
Look, normal structure is
sub+verb+ indirect object+ direct object.
a great job==it is not an indirect object but direct object.
Sub+ verb + direct object + preposition+ indirect object.
here my tv is not an indirect object too.
job and TV both are direct objects.
Sub+verb+noun(pro) + present participle ==repairing. .
This also a common structure by The Oxford advanced learner's dictionary.
Hope it works.
