What is produced during the light dependent reactions and used during the light independent reactions of photosynthesis?

Electron carriers!

When you look at some of the important biological cycles like respiration and the calvin cycle (photosynthesis) you can see that giving and taking energy are molecules like ADP/ATP, NADH+/NADPH (in respiration FADH as well). These act like batteries, taking phosphates to have energy and giving phosphates, releasing energy to other molecules.

For the second part of photosynthesis to work, it needs these electron carriers/batteries. These molecules, ATP and NADPH, are created in the light dependant stage of photosynthesis and are then used in the krebs/calvin cycle in the second stage of photosynthesis.
