What is pulmonary circulation and what is its function?

Pulmonary circulation is a part of double circulation which takes the deoxygenated blood from right auricle to the lungs for purification of blood.
At the lungs purification of blood takes place and the oxygenated blood return to left auricle via pulmonary veins.
