Spherical trigonometry is based on laws of sines and cosines of angles in a triangle that is drawn on the surface of a sphere. As such, the sides of the triangle are not straight lines, rather they are curved.

We have all the same types of trigonometric identities that we have in right angle trigonometry except, in spherical trigonometry the identities and equations differ from their counterparts in regular trigonometry.
