One that is important to do in particular though is to speak English whenever you can. And make mistakes. I am learning Chinese, and I try to speak it whenever I can. Also, you should download Spotify and listen to pop songs in English. English TV and reading books is also great practice. But if you're learning new words, you have to be patient with it or you'll forget it.
Listening is especially important in learning proper grammar. Grammar in speaking is important, and people will probably correct you if you use improper grammar. They will understand what you're trying to say.
