Evapotranspiration is a more inclusive term than transpiration.

Explanation:

Transpiration is the evaporation of moisture from plants, This process helps to lift needed water to the tops of plants, Transpiration affects the climate of the surrounding environment cooling the atmosphere nearby. Transpiration is also an important part of the water cycle.

Evapotranspiration includes the transpiration that occurs in plants. The term is more inclusive as it also includes evaporation of lakes, streams and oceans.

All transpiration is part of the evapotranspiration of the water cycle. However not all evaporation is transpiration, only the evaporation from plants is transpiration.
