Exocytosis is a sort of active transport in which contents or materials which are destined to be exported are packaged in membrane-bounded vesicles. The contents are released to the extracellular fluid through the fusion of vesicle's membrane with cell membrane.
By exocytosis either the waste materials or secretions move across the membrane.
