Explanation:

You first determine the value of #Q_1# and #Q_3#.

Once you have found these values you subtract:

#Q_3-Q_1#

This is called the interquartile range.

Now you multiply your result by #1.5#

#(Q_3-Q_1) xx 1.5= R#

#R="your result"#

Then you add your result #(R)# to #Q_3#

#R+Q_3#

And subtract #Q_1 - R#

You will have two numbers this will be a range. Any number located outside this range is consider an outlier.
