The axon helps in transmitting the messages from the brain to all parts of the body.

Explanation:

Many axons together form the nervous system of an individual's body. The terminal branches(end parts)of one axon is situated very close to the dendrites(front parts) of another axon. So the messages are transmitted very fast from one axon to another axon and the message is transmitted to all parts of the body.
