What is the greenhouse effect? What role does it play in the atmosphere's of Venus and Earth?

1 Answer

Trapping of heat in earth's atmosphere due to,presence of certain gases is known as Green house effect.

Explanation:

It allows the sun light(both visible and infra rred) to come down but does not allow the infra red reflected waves to get out Heat i s trapped there...THis adds heat to atmosphere and slowly the ambient departure increases.Carbon di oxide ,methane, water vapor all are green hose gases Both Venus and Earth have carbon di oxide and this causes slowly the atmospheric temperature to,increase..enter image source here
