# 8 = 2 xx 2 xx 2 #

There are three unique factors of 2. 10 has 1 8 has 3 so the 1 factor of 2 in 10 is repeated in the 3 factors of 2 in 8 .

There is 1 factor of 5 so

The Least Common Factor = # 2 xx 2 xx 2 xx 5 = 40#
