Thalamus acts as relay centre in brain.

Explanation:

Thalamus forms upper lateral wall of diencephalon , which is a part of fore brain. Thalamus forms 80% of diencephalon. It receives all the sensory inputs from all part of body and these impulses are send to the cerebral cortex. Cerebrum wraps around the thalamus.
Hence, thalamus is a major coordinating centre for sensory and motor signalling.
