Speaking purely from a biological and environmental point of view, glucose is the probably the most abundant carbohydrate as it is involved in a great number of biochemical reactions that occur in many organisms e.g. respiration, photosynthesis, etc.
Commercially, however, sucrose (table sugar) or D-Glucose is much more common.
