Mitochondria(plural), Mitochondrion(singular).
Explanation:
The Mitochondrion is an organelle that is responsible for producing energy in animals and also in plants.
Specifically, it provides energy(ATP, adenosine triphosphate) by aerobic respiration, which means it requires oxygen to provide ATP.
The more a cell demands energy, the more mitochondria it has. For example, muscles are moving constantly and therefore needs energy almost all of the time. And because of the consistent demand of energy, muscle cells have numerous mitochondria.
Hope it helped! :)
