For #"copper(II) nitrate"#.....?

Explanation:

We assign oxidation numbers to the constituent atoms.

We got #Cu^(2+)# #+2xxNO_3^(-)#...

...for the nitrate ion, we formally got #N(+V)#...plus #3xxO(-II)#..

The weighted sum of the oxidation numbers is ZERO....
