Distribute using FOIL

x xx 3/4 x - 12x - (2/3 xx 3/4 x ) + ( 12 xx 2/3 )

= 3/4 x^2 - 12x - ( cancel(2)/cancel(3) xx cancel(3)/cancel(4) x )+(cancel(12) xx 2/cancel(3) )

= 3/4 x^2 - 12x -1/2 x + 8 = 3/4 x^2 - 25/2 x + 8
