  1. Mitochondria -Mitochondria is the site for the release of energy from Pyruvic acid produced in cytoplasm. It is also called the powerhouse of cell.

  2. Ribosomes -These are small granules present on the endoplasmic reticulum and is a site for protein synthesis.

  3. Plastids -These are only present in plant cells and contain pigments such as chloroplast (traps sunlight), leucoplast (stores starch), chromoplast (imparts colour to flowers) etc.
