During the civil war, the men left the homes the hands of their wives, therefore making the women take matters into their own hands. Read the explanation please!

Explanation:

Women had to take many jobs during the civil war, sometimes they were jobs for women and other times they were jobs for men too. Some women disguised themselves as men to fight in the army! They also worked as nurses in volunteer brigades and supplied the army with food & clothing & water & medical supplies.
