#sec(-x)=sec(x)#
#sec^2(-x)=sec^2(x)#

#tan(-x)=-tan(x)# but since its squared it becomes
#tan^2(-x)=tan^2(x)#

So,
#sec^2(-x)-tan^2(-x)=sec^2(x)-tan^2(x)#

And #sec^2(x)-tan^2(x)=1#
