The septum is responsible of the separation of the chambers of heart.

Explanation:

Septum is a muscular wall which is of two types.

  • The atrial septum divides the two atrium.
  • The ventricle septum divides the two ventricles.

The atria and the ventricles are separated from each other by valves. The right ventricle and right atrium are separated by the tricuspid valve. The left ventricle and left atrium are separated by the bicuspid valve.
