Reproduction.

Explanation:

This will be either done sexually or asexually, both with their benefits and drawbacks.

Sexual Reproduction can only occur with two fertile organisms and occurs when male and female reproductive cells fuse together to form an embryo, which is basically a clump of cells which is gradually growing into that organism.
This fusion of genetic material leads to variation, and helps to facilitate evolution and natural selection.
This organism will either come to be as a 'live-birth', hatching from an egg, or as a seed/nut.

Asexual reproduction occurs when an organism 'clones' itself, which can be done via runners like that from a strawberry plant, cuttings from a plant like an apple tree or budding like that in the case of an anemone.
This creates genetically similar offspring from the source, though often organisms like this have a way of reproducing sexually (jellyfish for example), which increases the genetic diversity.

Hope this helps!
