My topic is materialism on Great Gatsby, so I used some quotes from the book. So do I put use these quotes for my Bibliography? Or did my teacher messed up?

Explanation:

A bibliography is usually an appendix of all the outside references you used. It is usually a list at the end of your paper.

If you're writing an essay on a book and you used quotes from said book to help prove your points, that wouldn't count as an outside source.

To add a quote in your essay:

Daisy Buchanan said: "I hope she'll be a fool" (Fitzgerald page number of the quote).

You DON'T need to add in a special section at the end of an essay for the quotes you used.
