Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) are the most common problems affecting the urinary system organs.

Explanation:

While mistakes in following very strict hygiene rules may be the reason for these infections, a weakened immune system may be the main cause, especially in the elderly patients.

Women could be more affected by UTIs and these infections could affect the bladder (cystitis), or only the urethra -- and usually the cause is a bacteria called Escherichia coli (E. coli), which resides in the intestinal tract. Men can also get UTIs.

While simple home remedies like D-Manose may work against E. coli, other bacteria could be responsible -- and in this case the immune system needs to be restored. Alternatively, a medical professional can prescribe antibiotic therapy.
