None of these are particularly good but

The Treaty of Westphalia ended the 30 years war which started as a conflict between Protestants and Catholics. The end was division of Germany between Protestant and Catholic territories which continued until the unification of Germany in 1870.

The rift between Orthodox and Catholic in 1054 meant that Christianity was already split but not quite as violently as Catholic and Protestant.
